South Florida

Memorial Weekend in South Florida
Fort Lauderdale
This time we decided to follow Lonely Planet and Tripadvisor's reviews. In Fort Lauderdale we stayed in Premier Hotel. Nice hotel located just steps away from the beach with very friendly staff. Night life was just several blocks from us. Quiet local places located in a couple of blocks from our hotel in the opposite direction. Local people recommended to eat in Cafe Blue Fish. Great seafood! Cocktails were great in Casablanca Cafe. Nice place in Mediterranean style, they spare no alcohol. Their kitchen was closed every time we stopped by but they served us good cocktails in the bar. Another nice place was Bubba Gump. Great seafood and excelent cocktails in one place.
Everglades
Next destination was the Everglades. It's impossible to pass by Robert is Here. Lonely Planet highly recommended to try key-lime-flavored milkshake, I've tried, tell the truth nothing special but mango was awesome. They sell a lot of tropical fruits, think I've never seen such choice of honey before. Who doesn't like fruits can enjoy view and smell of poultry and different types of goats. Also you can see a Rainbow Eucalyptus there. It doesn't look very rainbow on the picture but it does. It worth to stop there and you will not miss it with its huge sign.
Everglades Alligator Farm
Don't miss airboats riding. Better do it in swimming suits. The driver is not gonna miss the opportunity to spray water on you. There are things to do on the farm: snake and alligator show. You can also hold those lovely mouth duct taped baby alligators.
Florida Keys
Before you start long trip to Key West stop by Alabama Jack's. It leads you to toll road but you will regret if you don't stop at this historical place.
Key West, Conch Republic
Hemingway knew where to live. Do you know that in 1982 Key West proclaimed an independence from the USA, declared war on the USA and demanded a billion dollars in foreign aid? It lasted just one minute but they still celebrate the Day. After long surf in Internet we chose Key Lime Inn to stay. Very nice and romantic place with salted water swimming pool.

Key Largo
Stay in Largo Lodge, visit John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and eat in Fish House, don't forget key-lime pie for dessert.
Ready for snorkeling?!

Don't bother yourself to calculate tip, the waiter will do it.
Relax, you are in Paradise!
