Tennessee

Easter Weekend in Tennessee
The first unexpected stop on our trip to Tennessee was Lost River Cave. When we read about underground Boat tours in the cave we couldn't resist to try it but due to a flood the cave was closed. We walked around for a while, explored the entrance to the cave with old mill building, found out that the country's only air-conditioned "Nite Club" was opened there 1933. Then we kept moving to the South, to 80 degrees F after our cold Chicago.

The map of Tennessee state in the Bicentennial Mall State Park. You can lay down on whatever part of Tennessee you like. Andrew preferred Davidson County, "wet county", no dry law.

The Tennessee State Capitol
The capitol stands today, as it did when it was completed in 1859. It is one of only eleven state capitols that does not have dome.
